Storage space in the bedroom
The bedroom can be a difficult place to find storage space for everything. A divan bed with two or four drawers incorporated is always useful. Some people prefer to sleep in a pine framed bed. The space under this type of bed can be made use of to store purpose made zip up storage bags usually made from hard wearing plastic and available in sizes to suit both single and double beds. Suitcases can also be stored here.
A continental headboard is designed to give shelf storage room in its integrated cupboards that are positioned above the bed and secured to the wall. This type of headboard usually incorporates bedside cupboards, often with shelf room for favourite books as well as room atop the cupboard for the alarm clock.
The modular shelving units built to contain clothing and bedding may also have a dressing table complete with mirror and shelf storage areas to hold perfumes, after-shave and other toiletry items. The stool provided with the dressing table could have a detachable top with space inside for miscellaneous items. A plastic organiser for the storage of socks and ties is available to hook over the door and will have varying numbers of pockets.
If a desktop computer is to be used in the bedroom, then utilise purpose built work tables which have pull out drawers for the keyboard beneath the work surface. There are many different types of work stations available; most will have storage racks to hold computer software disks.
