A modern company is how it stores its used papers. This may be an overstatement but it is important to highlight the fact that it is only an organized company that is able to look after its papers. As such paper storage is very important as it reflects on how you treasure them. There is also a move towards pushing companies towards environment consciousness thus paper storage is proving very important each day.
Why should we look after papers
Papers are an important record of an event. The event may be captured on a soft copy but the freezing of an event, say a contract, on paper makes it more authentic. Another important role that papers play in an organisation is that they are a very important backup device thus should not be destroyed.
This means that paper storage devices and techniques should put into account the important role that the papers play in the day to day running of the organization. It is also important to note that apart from their role as a back up, papers may also be a hazard, thus should be looked after correctly.
Each organisation should thus seriously look at its paper storage techniques to make sure that it serves its purposes. Papers can cause confusion if they are not stored very well. Worse still if they are not stored very well they may cause a fire hazard. As such it is important that they are not in any way a hazard to the organisation in the event of a fire.
